ISC becomes founding partner of Excellence Canada

June 14, 2011

ISC has signed on to become a founding partner of Excellence Canada - the new name of the National Quality Institute (NQI). This fall, NQI will be re-branding itself under this new moniker.

As Excellence Canada, the organization will continue to advance a leading-edge business framework whose four levels of achievement constitute the best in operational practices, with the top level being that of world-class companies. In 2010, ISC achieved Level 3 certification in the NQI Progressive Excellence Program, Integrated Criteria. Level 3 is defined as the Role Model Level, indicating quality and healthy workplace practices are at work throughout the entire corporation.

Excellence Canada will continue to be responsible for the prestigious Canada Awards for Excellence - a program that recognizes business excellence in quality, customer service and workplace health. In 2010, ISC, having achieved Level 3 certification, won a Silver Canada Award for Excellence, the highest possible honour at Level 3. ISC was the first Saskatchewan organization to be recognized with a Silver Canada Award.

The founding partners’ arrangement means a three-year financial commitment on the part of ISC. In return, ISC will have a seat on the Board of Governors of Excellence Canada, a seat at the semi-annual roundtable of thought-leaders hosted by the Governor General of Canada and will be able to fully participate in various advisory committees and networking meetings.

As well, ISC’s current Gold membership status in the organization is automatically upgraded to Platinum. This will provide us with training and other administrative discounts.

All of this constitutes a unique and exciting opportunity to share our successes and learn what other successful organizations across Canada, both in and out of the public sector, are doing in support of excellence.
